He's a magnificent
showman, he lives his music in concert - no one else can compare.
Another example of someone who gives it 110%!!!
On top of that, he's one of the nicest people I've ever met.
My platinum experiences were dreams come true.
I've been a fan since Mandy came out in 1974. I don't know how he does it,
but he just keeps getting better! The
first time I saw Barry in concert was in 1980. Since then, well...
"I've been from Boston to Denver, and every town in between...". :-)
This site displays photos I've taken at some of the concerts I've attended - and reviews from some of the later concerts. The reviews are written by a fan for other fans - these aren't intended
to be of professional quality, nor are they intended to do anything other than share the experience with other fans and hopefully convey how much fun it can be to be a Barry Manilow fan.
I'm trying to turn this site into a comprehensive account of my "journey" with Barry Manilow - I'm trying to document this magnificent ride I've been on. I don't know when the ride will
end - but I've enjoyed every second of it. I intend to dig back through old photos, slides, negatives
and even old emails and letters to retrieve as much of this experience as I can.

In an interview with the Las Vegas magazine
"What's On" (article by Charles Tatum), Barry said:
"I guess...it's not cool to be a Richard
Marx or a Michael Bolton fan or a Barry Manilow fan. And I feel badly about
my fans having to go through this because they put up with more crap than
I have to."
Yeah, I've been labeled "uncool" because I like
Barry Manilow - I've also been labeled "uncool" because I'm interested
in our space program, because I was in the academic honor societies in
high school and college, because I don't drink, smoke, or take drugs...
If all that's "uncool", then I'm proud to be a poster child for the geeks
of the world.
One of my favorite Barry Manilow quotes is
"Misfits aren't misfits among other misfits." How true...
But the best part is the comments that I hear after the show... After more than 35 years, it's finally COOL to be a Manilow fan. What took you so long, people??
