Oh, wow - tonight's show may have surpassed last night's show. I'm not sure that's possible - but it was at least as good. See, I shouldn't be writing this tonight - I have to be up at 5:00am in the morning to go home! Does this demonstrate how pumped up I am after tonight's show?
Again, Barry put everything he had into the show from the very beginning. Somewhere in the Night was amazing - that's when the screaming started, and I don't think it stopped the entire night. At one point in the song, he motioned to us with a "come hither" look on his face. It wasn't the finger wiggle that we all find so sexy - but this was just as sexy.
He used Ready to Take A Chance Again for the dance girl segment. It was even more romantic tonight - in fact, almost as good as Moonlight Serenade.
Barry sang another of my favorite songs tonight - actually, almost everything he sang is one of my favorites! The first one he did was Why Don't We Live Together. He did the version where he's tweaked the lyrics a little to make it fit a group of people instead of being a traditional love song. And it was the version with a groove that he's been doing for the last few years. Always one of my favorites - I just loved getting to hear it again.
Barry followed that with another fantastic performance of Weekend in New England. Tonight's was even better than last night's. And, oh yeah, that's one of my favorites, too.
We got Sweet Heaven again - so I got a second chance at getting photos that weren't blurry. It worked! Of course, I blurred darn near everything else. I can't help it, I was excited - still! So, now we're up to 3 of my favorite songs...

And we got Who's Been Sleeping in My Bed!!!!! (4 favorite songs!) Oh my goodness - to be front and center for that song! It was a fantastic performance of it, too.
Looks Like We Made It gets more sexy every time he does it. No, I didn't take photos - not during Who's Been Sleeping, either (well, maybe a couple) - I wasn't about to waste those moments with a camera in front of my face.
I think Barry's intent tonight must have been to drive us all crazy . He was successful.

And that was proven during Can't Smile Without You, when a lady decided she needed to be much closer to Barry than the rest of us were. She made it to Barry just as the security guards caught up to her. It brought to mind the comments from last night about whether people think Barry is sexy and handsome - TOLD YA SO!!!! Barry made a lot of very funny comments after it happened, and really played up being so desirable.
Barry managed to get his Nehru jacket on tonight in time for the 60's segment. As he started singing Can't Take My Eyes Off Of You, he said, "I just love this song". We do, too!
We also got the Mayflower segment - it was hot tonight! And New York City Rhythm - Ron Pedley wins the prize for the best improvisation. Ok, there's not really a prize. And even if there were, why would someone who can barely spell piano be qualified to award it? I just thought what he did was cool!
Another special song we got tonight was Trying to Get the Feeling. Barry outdid himself - and then outdid himself again on that song. That had to be the most passionate performance I've ever seen him do. I was mesmerized. (5 favorite songs!) He sang the song in a special way tonight. Toward the end, he stopped playing the piano, other than a chord here and there - the band was silent - and then Barry used his voice and mannerisms to put the most incredible emotion into the song - you could feel it tugging at your heart as if you were the one who was living through it. It was outstanding!!! And then Barry stood up to finish the rest of the song - he was so expressive, there was so much angst in the performance. It was just a knockout - it was incredible.

Barry sang The Best of Me again for the Brits. (6 favorite songs!) Another beautiful performance. I didn't mention in last night's review that he had flubbed the lyrics a little last night, but he mentioned it before he sang the song tonight. He got them perfect tonight, though. (well, ok - there was one tiny spot at the end, but the words he sang actually worked, so who cares?)
He wore my white jacket! He wore my white jacket! Oh, sorry - I got a little excited about that, too.
Mandy/CIBM was another best of the week performance. Extremely emotional. I've lost track of favorite songs now. Barry just blew me away tonight - one song after the other. The only other song he could have added to this set list to make it better would have been Keep Each Other Warm - and quite frankly, I don't think I could have stood it if he did - so it's just as well he didn't!
There was a hilarious moment during Copa. Barry had gone to the left side stage to shake hands. As he was walking back across he did his "Ah, love - ah, romance.." bit. But this time instead of following it with "aw, right", he said, "Sex!" LOL The backups looked completely shocked. The audience was rolling.
There were more lingering looks tonight from Barry as he left the stage - a lot from us, too. I did not want this weekend to be over.
Someone asked me before the show if I had any good photos from the night before. I said that I did, but that most were a little blurry because I was just too excited to hold the camera still. This person couldn't believe that I still get excited after so many shows. I do - I don't think that will ever change.
