Barry opened the show in a great mood. He seemed very happy and playful. And the audience was with it tonight, too. In fact, at one point Barry said, "You're my favorite audience of the last couple of weeks. You're doing everything right!"
It looks like Barry has a new jacket. The one he wore to open the show was great. It had satin trim - couldn't tell what color it was for sure, because the color seemed to change with the lighting. During Weekend In New England, it was a beautiful light blue color. And he had on a matching satin tie, as well. Looked great! Heck, HE looked great! Love his hair - love the length of it, and love the color of it.
Weekend in New England was exquisite tonight - it was so beautiful. This one will live in my memory forever - very, very special. For some reason, Barry didn't get a standing ovation for his performance - and I don't know why. I should have just stood up by myself, but I have to work up the courage to do things like that. (I sent him a standing ovation through telepathy - hope he got it! LOL)

They performed Islands in the Stream again, and it was even better than last night. It makes you want to move, it's so upbeat and so...happy. And I just love that final group note in the song - I love that harmony. Keely is the first of the backups to do a solo part - she could be country singer if she wanted - she was great at that part. Melanie also has a wonderful solo part - it really shows off her fabulous voice. And Kye's part is equally impressive. It's just a great, great song and the performance of it is even better than that.

Tonight's performances of the standard songs in the set list were more relaxed - none of the differences that I saw last night. In fact, most of the songs seemed to have a new life tonight. For instance, New York City Rhythm seemed to have even more energy than usual. (Ron W. wins!)

I really like the way Barry is performing the Tryin' to Get the Feeling Again/Even Now medley. He sings TTGTFA so softly. I always loved it when he sang it as a power ballad and when he put so much passion into the end of the performance. But I really like this, too. I like the transition between the two songs. And I like the way he puts the passion into the ending of Even Now.
I Made It Through the Rain was as great as always. And Can't Smile Without You had the same tone that it's been having - it most definitely has a new life. And the closer I get to the end of the year and an uncertain future in terms of being able to come back to see Barry, the more that song means to me - because I definitely can't smile without him.

Even thought I wasn't crazy about it at first, I really like the decades medley now. Barry and crew seem to be having a lot of fun with it. Barry still does his little tap dance - and gives us goofy faces as he does it! Even though her part is small, Monica was the star during the 60's portion of the decades medley. She sounded beautiful tonight.

And yet another great song of the evening (can you tell the entire evening was GREAT??) was Looks Like We Made It. And those blue eyes against the blue curtain - enough to stop this old girl's heart!

Barry's performance of Memory was fantastic again. From what I can see, he has the entire audience in the palm of his hand during that song - especially the ending, where he puts so much of himself into it. And he has me in the palm of his hand when he's "conducting". I took a couple of photos, but I mainly just watched him do that - it gives me chills.

We got an extra - we got Careless Whisper. (Thank you, Barry!) It was more than wonderful. This is another instance where I absolutely hated the original - but I love what Barry has done with it. And his performance of it was... Well, I don't have words to describe it. I saw the clip that someone had posted of his performance of this song on QVC - tonight's performance blew that one out of the water. It was fantastic! Didn't take any photos of this - I just wanted to enjoy every second.
Barry put Somewhere Down the Road back in tonight. (Thank you again, Barry!) Love it, even if I do have to wipe a tear or two away. Another exquisite performance.
It was followed by Ships. This performance was also fantastic. Barry took it to another level with his acting out of the song. I just love the way he does that - love the way he turns into that old man talking to his distant son.

A lot of the details of the final part of the show are foggy again. But I think it's because I've really been caught up in the performances and so it all just flies by. As many times as I've been there, I know what the drill is at the end of It's A Miracle - and yet I totally forgot that Melanie would be stepping forward to shake hands right in front of me. I was really caught up in the moment and trying to absorb everything I could.
I do remember that Barry was extra cute at the end of Copa tonight. He was very playful as he did "his step".

Something has changed with the lighting because I can now take photos of Kye dancing while the rest of the gang are up on the platform.
Didn't want it to be over, but somehow when it's such a fantastic show it doesn't hurt quite as bad for it to be over. I definitely left on a high!
